SERVICE TERMS
A clear agreement before we enter the property.
Last updated: September 2026. This summary is confirmed and adapted in the agreement supplied before the first visit.
1. Service scope
Visits are visual, non-invasive and limited to the checklist agreed for the property. They do not replace security, technical inspection, architecture, engineering, statutory supervision or specialist maintenance.
2. Access and keys
Keys, codes and permissions must be documented before service begins. The owner must define who may enter, which areas are accessible and which contacts should be used.
3. Urgent situations
My Algarve Home is not a 24-hour emergency service. Where people or property are at risk, the appropriate emergency service, alarm company, insurer or utility provider must be contacted.
4. Providers and quotations
We may contact local companies, request a quotation and estimated timescale, and attend approved access. The owner and selected provider remain responsible for selection, contracting, payment and technical work.
5. Prices and payments
Price, frequency, travel and extras are confirmed in writing before service. Repairs, materials and third-party services are excluded unless expressly stated.
6. Appointments and cancellations
Visits depend on availability and access. Late cancellations, attendance without access or waiting beyond the booked period may be charged according to the client agreement.
7. Reports and photographs
Reports are for the owner and reflect only what was visible at the time. Photographs and video are handled only to provide the service and for the agreed retention period.
8. Practical support, mail and parcels
Each task requires documented instructions, access and authority. Receiving, collecting or sending items depends on provider rules and agreed acceptance limits; postage, packaging and third-party charges are separate. We do not accept cash, controlled, hazardous, illegal, perishable or unusually valuable items. Opening mail requires specific written authority. If an organisation requires the account holder, a power of attorney or a regulated professional, the owner must arrange this.
9. Final agreement
This summary does not replace the service agreement. Scope, responsibility, access, price and cancellation terms for each property are confirmed before service begins.
